Testing and tagging involves:
- Detailed visual inspection
- Electrical testing using instruments (AS/NZS3760 approved). The following electrical tests are carried out under AS/NZS 3760:2010.

- Earth Resistance
- Leakage Current Testing
- Polarity
- Assessing the outcome
- Application of outcome assessment tag (identifying PASS or FAIL)
- Recording the results

Colour Coded System
REST ASSURANCE uses a combination of colour coded tags for frequency identification purposes.
